After many years of being a high school teacher, I realised that with the right tutor, every student can feel confident, capable, and actually enjoy learning again!

I started tutoring because I wanted every student to feel confident in GCSE science and A level Biology. I knew I could give them personalised support they deserve and discover just how capable they really are.

I studied Human Biology (BSc) at the University of Leeds, followed by a PGCE in Secondary Science, and spent almost two decades teaching in state secondary schools with sixth form colleges. During that time, I became Head of Department, leading teams and supporting students through the challenges of GCSE and A-level exams.

In 2021, I took everything I’d learned and founded my own tutoring business. Now, as an A-level Biology and GCSE Science specialist, I work as both a teacher and a mentor, helping students go beyond memorising facts to actually understand how science fits together. I coach young people to think like an examiner. My sessions are designed to build confidence, clarity, and strong exam technique, all while supporting students’ wellbeing and motivation.

My work as an examiner, gives me a deep understanding of what exam boards really look for, insight that I now use to guide my students toward top marks.

As a parent myself I know how fiercely we want to give our children the very best start in life. Giving them the best opportunities to succeed and achieve their individual potential at GCSE and A level is such a gift and I can have such a huge impact on their progress towards their unique goals.
